❗ Meet our Managing Director and Chartered Engineer David Livingstone ❗
⚠️David is a time served Engineer having served an indentured apprenticeship as a Marine Engineer and qualified Class II Marine Engineer. He has a sound theoretical knowledge of the safe operation of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing Building Services plant and infrastructure.
⚠️He is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council, Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering & Estate Management, (IHEEM) and member of the Chartered Institute of Buiding Services Enngineers (CIBSE) and member of the British Computer Society (BCS).
⚠️David has over thirty years working in the public sector, in Operational and Capital New Works as Technical Client Representative / informed client, developing diverse Capital Mechanical and Electrical Requirements, incorporating maintenance and operational needs into capital projects.
⚠️In his last two roles in the public sector he has led Estates and Facilities departments.
⚠️David has worked in four highly regulated industries:
Shipping; Oil Industry; Healthcare; Police
⚠️He has considerable experience developing and delivering Capital Works projects and holds enhanced DBS Clearance and has previously been been Security Cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) which is the most detailed and comprehensive form of security clearance in UK government.
⚠️He has been responsible for overseeing the correct operation of ventilation systems and design of Ultra Clean systems, Aseptic Suites Critical Plant and LEV systems.
⚠️David has contract experience with various forms of contract including the JCT suite and NEC forms of contract.
⚠️David has been appointed in numerous Authorised Person roles for MGPS, High Voltage and has been the Senior Responsible Person for over 25 years for all M and E services in complex public sector environments.

DRLC have engaged a dedicated Health and Safety Consultancy. They have onboarded incredibly quickly and are already taking DRLC through the process of Accreditation with Safe Contractor and renewing DRLC Silver membership with Constructionline.
The Consultancy, Dynamiq, is run by Virginia Bomber and are based in Birmingham.

DRLC featured in “The Network” magazine
“The Network” magazine which is the Journal of the Design in Mental Health Network have agreed to carry an advertisement for our services.
DRLC have for a number of years provided services to community healthcare Trusts including advice on Ventilation, Fire Safety and Pressure Systems.
We have added another service to our portfolio which is energy saving advice to enable Trusts to reduce energy costs and work towards net zero carbon.

DRLC Ltd win Tender to assist West London NHS Trust with Ventilation
DRLC has been chosen by West London NHS Trust to provide Authorising Engineer – Ventilation services.
The Trust provides Mental Health and Community services to Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow.
It also manages the services provided at Broadmoor Hospital. Broadmoor Hospital is a specialist high secure psychiatric hospital.
We are looking forward to working with West London NHS Trust and committed to helping them retain their high standards and make improvements where required.
